SharePoint Onboarding Guide

Here is a guide on how to link CaseBlink and Sharepoint.

1. Prerequisites

Before connecting SharePoint:

  • You need a Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) administrator to approve app access.

  • Ensure users have a valid SharePoint site and permission to upload files.


2. Admin Consent Setup

Your SharePoint admin must approve CaseBlink’s access in Microsoft Entra ID:

  1. Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center:
    https://entra.microsoft.com

  2. Navigate to: Enterprise Applications → All Applications → + New Application → App registrations

  3. Locate or register the CaseBlink SharePoint app (you’ll see this during the first user connection attempt).

  4. Open the app, then:

    • Go to Permissions → click Grant admin consent for [your tenant name].

    • Verify all required Microsoft Graph and SharePoint scopes are marked as “Granted.”

  5. Typical scopes requested:

    • Files.ReadWrite.All – upload and manage files

    • Sites.ReadWrite.All – access site libraries
      offline_access – keep the connection active


3. SharePoint Admin Approval (may not be required for all tenants)

If your tenant restricts app access, SharePoint may require manual approval:

  1. Go to SharePoint Admin CenterAdvanced → API Access

  2. Approve any pending requests from “CaseBlink” or the app name shown.

  3. Wait a few minutes for the permissions to propagate.
